In order to contribute to the effective, efficient, and responsible use of artificial intelligence, big data, and learning analytics in education, research, and institutional processes, the following objectives have been set:
- To define our university’s AI policy, implementation principles, guiding values, and ethical code,
- To monitor critical developments and trends related to big data and AI at the national and international levels, and ensure their institutional reflection,
- To support the efficient, creative, responsible, and ethical use of AI tools in teaching and learning processes, scientific research, and institutional operations,
- To develop recommendations and take advisory decisions in line with the university’s vision and policy on AI in higher education, proposing measures for the use of AI in teaching, research, and administrative processes, and report these to the Office of the Rector.
With these aims, the AI Committee and Study Group, composed of field experts and representatives from various disciplines and coordinated by the Directorate of the Distance Education Application and Research Center, was established on June 6, 2024.
